Some years pass quietly.
Others leave footprints across mountains, hearts, and horizons.
2025 was a year shaped by journeys both outward and inward, where every expedition, gathering, and shared moment strengthened the bond between people, nature, and purpose. Across Lebanon and beyond, Summit Souls continued building experiences that go far beyond adventure.
The year began with a special camp dedicated to our youngest adventurers, introducing them to the beauty of the Lebanese mountains.
February marked the beginning of A Night on Everest, a traveling storytelling experience that continued throughout the year in different locations. During these gatherings, Avedis shared the journey behind his Everest climb, offering lessons of resilience, humility, and human strength. Soon after, the year’s first international expedition led Summit Souls to Kilimanjaro, where climbers embraced the challenge of Africa’s highest peak.
March brought both adventure and community together. While preparations for the Himalayas continued, we gathered at Yacht Club Beirut to celebrate Honoring Womanhood, an event dedicated to strength, presence, and the power of women coming together in shared space. It was a reminder that the spirit of Summit Souls lives not only on mountains, but also within communities that support and uplift one another.
Spring carried us into the heart of the Himalayas with our Annapurna Base Camp expedition, a journey through forests, villages, and towering peaks that humbled and inspired every participant. Alongside this, our rock climbing school welcomed new climbers, building confidence and connection between humans and stone.
May became a celebration of Lebanon itself. During our Lebanon Mountain Trail crossing, travelers experienced the country step by step, discovering its landscapes and communities beyond expectations. This was followed by a deeply nourishing wellness retreat in Deir El Qamar, where movement slowed and participants reconnected through yoga, nature, and reflection.
Avedis Kalpaklian also became a Mike Sport ambassador, strengthening a shared vision of promoting outdoor culture and adventure in Lebanon.
The Black Peak Expedition returned, challenging participants physically and mentally in a sea to summit journey that reflects our vision of Lebanon as a true mountaineering destination, a challenge like no other.
In July, Summit Souls journeyed to Mount Ararat, a mountain rich with history and symbolism. The ascent became a powerful shared experience of endurance, intention, and unity.
Summer brought energy and diversity. We traveled across Lebanon with a group of teens, guiding them through a week of exploration, teamwork, and discovery. The month also included another Black Peak challenge and a successful ascent of Mount Kazbek, expanding our journeys across borders and cultures.
We welcomed international guests for an exclusive seven day exploration of Lebanon, sharing mountains, culture, and authentic encounters that revealed the country’s true spirit beyond headlines.
Community stood together at the center during Byblos Moves for Cancer, a sports event bringing people together through movement, solidarity, and hope, organized with SWIM as the main partner. The event reflected the power of sport and community coming together to support a meaningful cause and inspire collective action.
The year closed where our story always begins, in the Lebanese mountains. Through Discover the Mountains of Lebanon with Summit Souls, we continued guiding journeys that reconnect people with nature, identity, and belonging.
2025 was not measured only by summits reached, but by stories shared, fears overcome, and connections created. Each step reaffirmed our belief that mountains are teachers, journeys are bridges, and adventure has the power to transform lives.
As we move forward, Summit Souls continues its mission to position Lebanon as a destination for adventure, wellness, and meaningful exploration, where every path leads not only across landscapes, but deeper into ourselves.
